CATHY'S STORY Part I By Baby Trudy The following story is in several parts. It may end up a little long and stray from the interests of this Section, but I believe there are a lot of incidents that will leave Section members somewhat excited! A background is necessary to let you know how the things came to be and how they are related. At this time I'm about 15 years old. I have a little sister, Patty, who at 13, still wears diapers from time to time. Although she wears them mostly at night now, she used to wear them to school. When she got excited she couldn't control herself and she would wet herself! I had mixed emotions about her wearing diapers; sometimes I thought it was disgusting, and other times I stuck up for her because she was my little sister. I was surprised when she finally had friends over for slumber parties, but then noticed that they all were wearing diapers! Wearing diapers must not be as unusual as I had thought. I also have a girlfriend named Patty, who has a younger brother that is about five or six months younger than me and also wears diapers! I remember last year when his mom made him wear diapers and plastic pants to school. The reason I'm mentioning Kenny, is that at the time I had a crush on him! I don't think he knew it at the time - at least he never acted as if he did. I used to sit with him on the bus on the way to school. On Kenny's "diaper-day", you could hear his plastic pants crinkling at least twenty feet away! I remember sitting with him and trying to console him. Boy was he upset and nervous! I tried to put him at ease by having my sister Patty show him the diapers and plastic pants she was wearing. God was I crazy to impress him at that time! Anyhow, back to my story. I really had mixed emotions about diapers and plastic pants. I could see wearing them if someone really had to, but to wear them because someone liked them? (I found out that Kenny enjoyed wearing his diapers and plastic pants when he was at home). That was beyond my conception at that time. Did I ever wear them at that time, or before? Well, I must admit I did on a few rare occasions. For instance, when we had company over visiting from out-of-town, my mom made me wear them because I would be sleeping with my sister and my mom didn't want Patty to be too embarrassed being the only one in the house wearing diapers. Of course I didn't wet them, I just wear them. My mom would tell me well before the company came, and as a diversion I would take some of my sisters diapers and plastic pants and put them in my dresser drawers, just in case whoever was visiting might look in my drawers while using my bedroom. That trick worked well until last summer when I out-grew my sisters plastic pants. After all, she was rather petite. After I accidentally tore two pair of them my mom said that I wouldn't have to wear them when company came anymore. Looking back on those years and the incidents that occurred at that time, I feel that it played a very important influence on my later life. Here's where my story begins.... I was in my second year of high-school and a member of the drama club. We were going to put on a rather obscure play that had just a few actors. The play's setting was a posh very exclusive but small seaside resort. I was selected to play the part of the owner's daughter, a little girl named Diane. Diane was a spoiled girl of about 10 who would be experimenting with her first puppy love. The unusual part about the character was the fact that she would still be in diapers at that age! Mrs. Caswell, the Drama/English teacher, asked me if I had any problem with the character and the fact that I would be wearing diapers and "prissy" little girl dresses on stage. I said no - after all it was only a play. To make me feel at ease, she showed me some pictures and drawings of what my character would be wearing. They weren't that bad. The character looked like her diapered behind would be covered by the dresses. To have us feel like we were knowledgeable in all aspects of the theater, we had to help make parts of our costumes. I had to make (get this) "plastic pants" and one of the dresses my character would wear! The Home Economics teacher, Miss Purdy, got the necessary material from the yard goods store and helped me to adapt a pattern of a little girls dress to something more my size. The dress went rather well - it was pink and white, with a very short bodice and a very full skirt. We made matching bloomers out of the same material with some lace trim around the legs. Since the bloomers were very big, I questioned Miss Purdy about this -She replied, "Well your going to be wearing diapers and plastic pants so they have to fit over them!" I asked the Drama/English Teacher about this too. Her reply was just a little different, "On stage the actor or actress must sometimes exaggerate his or her character. We will have you wearing a very padded diaper to exaggerate the fact that you are wearing diapers, so that's why the big bloomers!" I meekly replied, " Oh, I see...." We get on with the rehearsals and learning the lines. Finally the set had been finished and we would rehearse on it with all the props but no costumes. There were two rather embarrassing scenes that I had to play a part in. One would be with me and a guest of the hotel, on center stage while she would be scolding me. At this point she would notice a wet spot on the floor and find out that her scolding would scare me so much that I would wet myself. The other scene would have her changing my diaper on a bed. There was some discussion that these scenes would be to risque, but it was pointed out that when I would be on the bed my head would be towards the audience and they couldn't see under my dress. The other scene was a very important comical part of the play and besides I wouldn't really wet myself. I figured she would just pretend she would see a wet spot on the floor. It would not be until the actual play that I would find out the secret of the rest of the props. The next surprise was the fitting of the costumes. The lady that helped Miss Purdy finish the costumes wanted to take pictures of us in them for her scrap-book. So after she finished fussing over how we looked, she would take some photos. There was no way I could get out of this. With only Miss Purdy and the lady, (Gawd, I can't remember her name) and me in one of the rooms back stage at the school, I tried on the costumes for the first time. Miss Purdy let me keep on my panties and then helped me put on one of the special padded diapers. They were pink! Next she had to help me put on the plastic pants that I made out of clear plastic. They barely fit over the foam rubber filled diaper. Then while handing me the bloomers she got called to the phone. She told me to get the rest of the costume on and she would be right back. I put on the dress and was surprised how well it hid my big diapered behind. Miss Purdy returned and called me out from the dressing area into the main part of the room with the lady that made the other costumes. They had an animate discussion about the length of the dress and had to call Mrs. Caswell on the phone to get her opinion. Miss Purdy announced that Mrs. Caswell would soon be down to give her final ok. I sensed something was wrong, but could not put my finger on it.... Finally Mrs. Caswell came down, looked me in the costume over and then asked me to come back on Thursday after school. Some modifications would be made to the costumes in the meantime. On Thursday I came into the room right after school and got a surprise. I was to wear very full bouffant petticoats with the costumes! There was one for each costume - pink, light blue, and yellow. I figured it out just as I entered the room, even though there was no-one else there at the time. Slowly I walked over to where they were hanging and thought, "I'll bet the diapers will show now!" Suddenly Miss Purdy came in with the lady that helped with the costumes. "I see your here on time, sorry that we're late though. Let's get started." She ushered me into the back room and told me to take off my school clothes. As I did she explained the details and effort that her and the other lady had gone through last night in finishing the costumes to get the look that the Drama/English teacher wanted. First they had to make bodices for the petticoats which originally were half slips. Then they had to make a more "crinkly" effect for the plastic pants. They could not change the plastic pants per se, so they added padding and a noisy type of plastic to the bloomers. She was so animate in her descriptions while I was undressing that I didn't even notice that I had taken every stitch of clothing I had on off! Miss Purdy seemed to take this in stride, then commented that maybe it wasn't the first time I had recently worn diapers since I was very young. (If only she knew....) She helped me put on the diapers, which now were fastened on with snaps (probably something they did last night too). Then they helped me pull up the original plastic pants that I had made in Home-Ec. They seemed tighter. Next came the "padded", "crinkly" bloomers. She put the petticoat over my head. As she pulled it down, I asked about the very short top on it. Her answer was that it had to be that way to match the dress and the little girl look. Next came the dress. After she zipped me up, she patted my behind and motioned me into the outer room. I found it a little bit difficult to walk with that bulky diaper on. For the first time I saw how I looked in the mirrors on the wall in the outer room! The dress was out to there with the full petticoat under it! My well rounded diapered behind really showed now! Oh well I thought, I got myself into this and I'll just have to see it through, so I tried on the other two dresses and the accessories which were all color-keyed to match the outfits. Even the diapers were in yellow and light blue. Finally the lady and Miss Purdy were satisfied, all the loose threads were snipped off and a roll of film was used in taking pictures of me in the costumes. Miss Purdy helped me out of the last costume. As I was putting on my school clothes I overheard them talking about what a cute "Big Baby" I would be in the play. Well looking back on it, I was very cute! The day of the dress-rehearsal finally came. I found out about the props. In the second act I was supposed to wet myself and be changed. Well striving for realism, they put a plastic bag of warm water inside the "padded crinkly" bloomers. Attached to it was a thin thread that ran down my leg and looped through the buckle in my shoe. At the proper time I would put my legs together and step on the thread, move my other leg and as I did the thread would tighten and release a little bit of water on the floor. Well Ok, in theory it seemed sound, and did work pretty good in the dress rehearsal. The changing of my diaper went well too I thought, my head was towards the audience and the fullness of the petticoat hid the actual changing. All in all it went very good, I even remembered my lines! The only thing left was the actual presentation next Sunday night. We had several rehearsals that week and another dress rehearsal the next Saturday. That's where a few final changes took place. They had me wear another diaper over the plastic pants, one that would be dampened by the plastic bag of water for realism. No problem. That dress rehearsal went very well even with the small changes. Sunday. Was I nervous! I almost wanted to back-out! Finally it came time for the curtain to go up. Things were going smoothly right up until the plastic bag trick. Unknown to me, Yhe person that filled the bag, filled it at the water cooler! The water was not warm at all! I stepped on the thread to spill the contents of the bag, and the sudden shock of the ice cold water running down my leg (together with the stage fright) caused me to wet myself right there on the spot! I hoped it would go unnoticed. It did, until my friend playing the part of the lady that was to change me saw the discoloration in the diapers inside the clear plastic pants. She almost lost it right there, but continued like a trooper and held it inside. We were running behind schedule and I didn't get time to change my innermost diaper and had to act through the rest of the play in REAL wet diapers! It felt strange, but also kind of enjoyable as well! Finally the play was over. As we came on stage for our final bow, Mrs Caswell came up and made an announcement. The Producer of the play, when it was on Broadway, was in the audience and wanted to say a few words. There I stood in my wet diaper hearing this; He said that while on Broadway the play was not the success that he had hoped for, but in seeing the way we did it, he was grateful for the excellent presentation. Besides donating one thousand dollars to the school's Drama Department, he said he would be honored if the cast and their parents would join him at a nearby restaurant for a dinner on him. It would have to be as quickly as possible, though, since he had to catch the last plane out that night for New York. So believe it or not we went to dinner in our costumes and me in my wet diapers. I guess that was the real beginning of my diapered life, but there's more! The Drama/English teacher, Mrs Caswell, told the members of the cast that we could keep our costumes if we wanted. I kept mine, although I rarely wore the whole costume again, I found that I had an attraction for wearing the bulky padded diapers to bed at night. I nearly never wet them again, it's just that I liked to wear them with my nightgown. That's the key word, liked, not had to because company was comming and to save my little sister some embarasment, but I liked to wear them! End Cathy's Story Part I
